Title: “How was your day at work swea err sweetie?” “Oh it was long and hard!”

SSsshhhh don’t tell anyone, porn stars are people who have family and can cognate not just sexy objects, it’s a secret!

Quote
A lot of dads might be angry if their daughter went into porn -- and so is the father of top adult actress Stoya.

But not for the reason you think.

"My dad is purely just angry that I ruined porn for him," she told HuffPost Live recently. "[He's mad] because I couldn't, like, just do a few scenes, I had to sign with a big company."

As a result, pops is often confronted with her lifestyle choices head on. When he goes to a porn site for some instant gratification, there is inevitably an ad for her Fleshlight, a sex toy modeled after her private parts.
Stoya is quick to stress: "This isn't normal dinner conversation. Just once in a while." (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/17/stoya-porn-star-dad-ruined-porn-for-him-video_n_3454408.html?giggity)

They typical reaction upon discovering (the hard way, heh) that their daughter is in the porn biz.

That has to be the most hilariously awkward thing I have ever seen. It could be worse though, he could have been inadvertently using her fleshlight.

I find the stigma pertaining to the porn biz to be odd. After all, people have to make the porn for other people to get off to. Being people they can inherently can cognate. The relevant Example:
Her tumbler is stoya dot tumblr dot com. She actually has quite a bit to say, also NSFW. Porn stars as advocates for safer sex actually makes sense give the hazards of their occupation.

…the thing that makes me angry is the insidious suggestion that all women want children and the subtle shaming of people who exercise their reproductive rights. This is part of the reason women feel the need to say things like “I only had one abortion” or “a baby at that point would have ruined my college prospects.” I resent the way this sneaky societal pressure has wormed itself into my brain enough that I feel the need to explain my mild latex allergies and issues with hormonal birth control or follow the number of pregnancies I’ve terminated with a reminder of how many sexual acts I’ve engaged in when talking about my own abortions. I’m uncomfortable about the way that I’ve allowed these messages to undermine my belief in my rights enough to feel defensive about exercising them. Every time that a woman like Molly Crabapple or Chelsea G. Summers vocally stands behind their decision to abort, it’s a drop in the bucket that maintains balance against people like Todd Akin and Jack Dalrymple. It reminds me that the freedoms we do have are precarious and that a sizable chunk of America sees women, homosexuals, and anyone who is different than they are as lesser beings… and that sucks.

On the bright side, porn stars for literacy. Freaky, disturbed literacy. (http://claytoncubitt.com/hysterical-literature/)

Ummm TIM... What is the point of your post?

You start off by saying that porn stars are people too but after your first link you immediately make jokes that seem to imply that the father should in some way be ashamed of his daughter because of her career? Did you mess up the quotes or are you in fact claiming that being a porn star is a shameful career choice?

And what does that broken youtube video and the quote about necrophilia have to do with the original story?

Do you really think that you made a coherent post?

ARE YOU ON DRUGS?

I was actually trying to compare the reality of that situation with what is stereotypically thought in a joking light. After all, the last thing that comes to mind on the subject of pornography is literacy. It would seem that I failed.

this actually reminds me of the time Sasha Grey dared try to promote literacy (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bethany-st-james/sasha-grey-reading_b_1098522.html) to a group of grade schoolers. The kids loved it and had a wonderful time but the parents about had a stroke.

For some reason, I am reminded of the youtube video of Gilbert Gottfried reading sections from 50 Shades of Grey...

I used to think porn stars were "different" for a long time, but quite a while ago I came to the realization that they are the same as anyone else, and that porn really is just a job to them. (I cant remember if it was a video clip of porn bloopers, or a report from the Cann porn festival that made me realize)

What we see as porn is really no different from a normal TV/advertising acting job.

I think every romance novel ever begs to differ. Especially the Victorian ones.

And the huge amounts of erotic literacy (including erotic fan-fiction) that is still being produced.

with regards to erotic fanfiction, Sturgeon's Law was never more apparent then with erotic fanfiction and erotic webfiction in general. Erotic fiction is really really easy to do horribly wrong.

And somehow the worst ends up the most popular...

I dunno...didn't "Fifty Shades of Grey" start off as "Twilight" fanfiction? I mean, I haven't read it myself, but if that many grown adults (not giggling teenagers) like it, I can't help thinking they have to be doing SOMETHING right. Granted, that "something" might just be appealing to the lowest common denominator...

Might as well say that Twilight is doing something right because it's popular as fuck among the teenage girls and middle-aged mothers demographics.

That's because they are read (and written) by teenagers that don't have a clue about sex, or adult life in general.

I don't know, I've met plenty of fan fic writers in their 20s, 30s, and even 40s. One of the most popular porn writers (also cheesiest porn and most childish behavior) I know of is in her 30s.

True. I prefer my erotic fanfic with a side of romance, myself. As for the rest, meh. I don't like professional porn stars. Too much makeup, too much "exactly like everyone else" and too little uniqueness. Only professional porn I like is (and I'm sure everyone will be really surprised by this /sarcasm) Suicide Girls. Other than that, amateur stuff is so much better. Actual people, who aren't made of plastic. I'd say that's much more fantastic.
