Hashtags, especially when the mainstream news media uses it.

I don't want to see terminally white people try to jump onto the deadest of all dead social media horses 2 years behind everyone else. It's really fucking annoying, and I'm getting tired of this obvious attempt at appearing hip and relevant.

What annoys me is that I continually see all these great looking people out in the world, enjoying themselves as celebrities, but I'm stuck here.

In some sleepy little California town with no hope of going anywhere.

I hate them for their blessed lives.

Am I the only person who really, really does not envy celebs?  Well apart from the money, I would like their money.  But everything else...nope.

I envy their spotlight, because one of the things I have always wanted is for people to look at me, to acknowledge me, to be pointed out, to be known.

I envy their blessed little lives. I hate their be damned offspring for enjoying things I will never enjoy, and which I did not get in my childhood.

I envy their good looks, where I am nothing if not hideous.

^^ It may seem uncomfortable to some people, but such a life, always watched by reporters eager to know what I'm doing, wanting to know what I'm wearing, where I'm going, transmitting that to the world at large...there's a sort of voyeuristic thrill to that. Scandals, especially, have a forbidden excitement to them - like, I know I am not supposed to enjoy having my behaviour criticized and looked at, but that just makes it even more exciting. Same deal otherwise.

^ And why should I care about that collective of disturbed psyches? The NSA are not normal people. I don't care about them watching. They're just a frankly disgusting bunch who I bet don't feel like others do. An Agent of the NSA would not feel sad if his wife died - he'd just say "eh, she was boring anyway. I can always marry another one." I do not think agents of the NSA would even care for their children, poor little people, in the care of callous psychotics and neurotics devoted to assassination and murder. They don't care for the security of America. They don't even care for their family's safety. They want power power and more power.

Cheer up. That is remarkably easy to do, when one is surrounded by those who live charmed lives, who can just blow 100K on shit they won't ever use past a certain point except as a status symbol. Sure is easy to be happy when all that is ever in the news is someone's blessed, happy life with their fiance, and their vacations and summer homes, drinking wine I will never even get to taste. Sure is easy to be a cheerful person when you'll at best be ignored your entire life and not even be given the slightest bit of actual, real comfort. Its easy to be happy when your mother married a useless fat sack of shit that drinks, eats and sleeps and takes home little to no money, and who will never go anywhere or do anything with himself beyond what I described. It is certainly nice to be happy when damn brats wear clothing more expensive than any amount of money I'll ever have.

I hate absolutely all of those people, my envy for them burns so hot, I just wish some form of misery would visit them, so that I could feel better knowing their lives are not perfect. Not perfect. Not perfect.
