Nostalgia Critic Returns
« on: March 06, 2013, 07:13:55 pm »
I know there are at least a few fans here, so if you haven't heard the news yet, the Nostalgia Critic is back by popular demand. In an episode of Demo Reel called "The Review Must Go On" the character was officially resurrected with two new rules: 1) Episodes will air every two weeks instead of on a weekly basis and 2) there is no cutoff point for movies.

Apparently Doug Walker was so horrified by The Odd Life of Timothy Green that he brought the NC out of retirement:

Since then he's also reviewed Pearl Harbor and Son of the Mask, both of which were hilarious. As an added bonus, both he and the Angry Video Game Nerd made a cameo appearance in the anime The Unlimited - Hyoubu Kyousuke:

Enjoy!

He was away?

I like That guy with the glasses and the other posters on his site but it has been ages since I went there. I've been meaning to watch the suburban knights thing too.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

With SCIENCE! Dr. Insano used his Quantum Anime portalisator to trap them into that hellish world.

He was away?
He retired his character following the 4th Anniversary Special, but brought him back because 1. fans wanted him back and 2. Doug himself realized he had more for the NC to do.

Suburban Knights was great but To Boldly Flee was even better--especially if you love Spoony's performances.

How did they get in an anime?
Clearly the creators of it are fans of the NC and AVGN.

Also, the website's traffic dropped something like 40% since he retired the Nostalgia Critic. That may have something to do with it.

Like I said, the fans wanted him back. Apparently he got a fair share of emails about it afterward :)

I'd watch that. ;D

The material needs a defender more than the spiritual. If there is a higher power, it can defend itself from the material. Thus denotes 'higher power'.
