Who Watched the DNC last night?
« on: September 05, 2012, 09:37:40 am »
I did.  And I am happy that I did.  Between Julian Castro's Speech and Michele Obama's speech, they both were just amazing.  I will even admit I shed a tear or two during a couple parts of both their speeches. Also if you missed the speeches I would recommend listening to them as they are really that good.

What did you guys think?

If I was giving a speech at the DNC, I would set up an empty chair on stage and explain that it was so phantom Clint Eastwood would have a place to sit.

The RNC had Clint Eastwood ranting and raving at an empty chair.  Apparently, it was supposed to be an argument with an "Obama that wasn't there", but it ended up revealing the strawman for what it was... and making Clint Eastwood look like a senile old fool.

Or a genius troll, but the jury is still out on this one.

Just leave this here and let ya'll decide for yourselves

I call B.S. considering the one who made the site pretty chummy with the Tea Party, whom themselves sold out to the Republicans.

I started voting in '56.  Nothing new has been said at either party's convention from then to now.  The only accomplishment this year is the Republican demonstration that they intend to remain idiots for all time.
I am an old man, and I've seen many problems, most of which never happened.

I was going to watch it. My brother turned on the TV in the living room right in the middle of Michelle Obama's speech, and I wanted to watch. But as soon as it turned on, my dad started yelling about unfair it was that he should be "forced to listen to this shit" and that we should turn it off because he can't stand the thought of hearing Michelle Obama speak. Then he started ranting about how we should all be watching Ron Paul because he's doing well and becoming famous, but the media is trying to downplay his successes.

I'm so disappointed that didn't happen, least from what I've seen.  Now that shit, would've been hilarious.  That, or get Lewis Black to ream the buggers for a good 20 minutes.

What is with Paulbots and not reading the concession speech.
Also Michelle Obama part of me wonders if she would have done a better job

Day 2 is now over

HOLY SHIT Bill Clinton just laid a fucking 50-minute-long smack-down on the entire Republican party. That was incredible.

Sandra Fluke and Elizabeth Warren were amazing, too.
