Yeah people are boycotting the wrong vodka. It's pissing me off, too, because the people that are hurting from the boycotss don't deserve it (Latvia, Ukraine, etc.,). Even if Ukraine is following Russia, it isn't as bad as Russia and can still make a turnaround.

But all Slavic countries are the same, amirite?

Dan Savage probably saw this as an opportunity to look like a righteous martyr and thought, "Eh, they're close enough. The average American can't tell them apart anyway."

Less than 10 people showed up to "Ex-gay Pride" at D.C. They said thousands would. Of course, they'll blame homosexual extremism, they one they aren't able to prove happens.

The CBC made a map showing the legal status of homosexuality in various countries:

Raven Symone of "The Bill Cosby Show" and "That's So Raven" came out in support of gay marriage -- by coming out of the closet herself.

http://hollywoodlife.com/2013/08/03/raven-symone-comes-out-gay-fans-support/

It feels... weird and good that a star that was aimed at my age group when the show was out, and a star that I recognize very well, is gay.  This must've been how it felt when gay people who were a fan of Roseanne saw her come out of the closet.

This map is recent? Because in 2009 India struck down their anti-Sodomy laws as violations of personal rights, but it's still high lighted as yellow.

Edit:
Seems like the mixed up India and Myanmar.

My problem with Roseanne Barr is now she's a raging radscum. And here I would have voted for her until she decided to show her true colors on twitter and elsewhere.

Raven on the other hand is a national treasure and I always suspected she'd be at least bi. Or, hoped, rather. When I wasn't identifying as male. But now that doesn't matter, now does it? :P

It was so so disappointing to see Rosanne go with the radscum crowd. Here's hoping the other queer celebs aren't fucking up.

Funny how people who say they want to go back the the 50's never envision people like these women in there.

And South Carolina has their first openly gay Ms. America!

Gay marriage is now legal in Uruguay. The law was passed earlier but didn't come to effect untill now.

Now we just have to wait for Paraguay to allow Pairs-o-gay.
From international relations to religious rivalries, from marriage to athlete's foot, whatever the problem a fundy's first solution is usually violence.

Deutschland will be recognizing third gender options on birth certificates, a first for a European country.

A porn company sprang up promising to donate 100% of its profit to fund LGBTQ Russian refugees.

Oh the gay WWE wrestler? Here's a pic of him with his boyfriend.

Alabama's Republican party is purging any Republicans who supports marriage equality, further affirming my belief that any gay who supports that party doesn't care about LGBTQ.

Oh you can go to a California doctor and they can still call being gay a disease in the 21st century!

1/3 of Italian gay youths contemplate suicide.

First Oaxaca now Yucatan. Viva Mexico!

For absolutely no reason, here's the winner of Mr. Gay World!

http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/US_CONVERSION_THERAPY?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT&CTIME=2013-08-19-06-47-21

Chris Christie has signed a ban on "gay conversion therapy."

Quote
Christie said on "issues of medical treatment for children we must look to experts in the field to determine the relative risks and rewards," citing a litany of potential ill effects of trying to change sexual orientation, including depression, drug abuse and suicide.

"I believe that exposing children to these health risks without clear evidence of benefits that outweigh these serious risks is not appropriate," he said.

Christie, however, has not moderated his position on gay marriage, which he vetoed and continues to oppose. As a result, gay rights activists applauded Monday's bill signing but pushed for more.

Well, at least it's one step forwards. And on a lighter side:

I guess Christie just lost the votes of homophobic fundies. Which actually might cost him the election now that I think about it.

EDIT:

http://www.wnd.com/2013/08/black-pastors-take-back-civil-rights-movement/

So what is it that those darn gay people have done this time? Well...
Quote
The purging of Grammy Award winner Donnie McClurkin from performing at a concert commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1963 civil-rights March on Washington and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech should serve as yet another wake-up call to Christian black Americans.

McClurkin, a black pastor and gospel music superstar, was asked to step down from his featured performance by Washington Mayor Vincent Gray as result of pressure from homosexual activists. McClurkin preaches against the homosexual lifestyle from his pulpit and says he himself departed and was saved from this lifestyle through God’s mercy.
Oh nooooo... How horrible, but that's just the start:

Quote
The civil-rights movement was a Christian movement. It is high time that the black pastor, rather than the black politician, return to leadership in black American life. It is time for the Bible, rather than political answers, to define black life.
...

Yet homosexuals have hijacked the civil-rights movement. And in doing so, they have interjected the very values that are destroying black communities.

Let’s take back our movement.

Rebuild black families by restoring the centrality of traditional Christian values to black life. Only support politicians who sign onto this agenda. And give black parents the choice to get their kids out of public schools and send them to church schools.

Well that is new information. I thought that the civil rights movement was originally fighting against the discriminatory treatment of black people in USA. I even thought that the Nation of Islam had a part in civil rights movement, but that can't be right if all the movement wanted was to make sure that black families live according to "christian valuestm"

Hmmm... I suppose it is horrible that some people would want "civil rights movement" to fight for the "civil rights" of gay people rather than uhhh... Making sure that black kids go to christian schools?

Aww, these are so adorbs.

Also, Mr. Fischer, go to Hell. And take your idea of "curing anyone not sexually oppressed in the name of Jesus Christ" with you.
