Well, they're not wrong. To say that animal farming isn't exactly environmentally friendly would be the understatement of the century. It's one of the reasons why we need to make synthetic meat a thing sooner rather than later.
Of course, the lions share of the responsibility for cutting pollution should be on corporations, rather than the average consumer, in the first place. Eating less meat, turning off the lights a little more often and not using straws is all well and good, but if you really want to make an impact, but it's not actually going to do anything if we ignore the likes of pretty much the entire tech industry and their planned obsolescence, making millions of smartphones and computers the like that are basically bricks packed full of lovely lovely toxins, with the express intention that they'll all be thrown out and replaced as often as they possibly can get away with. Naturally, this all ties into the greater issue that corporations and their profits are pretty much untouchable, no matter how dire the situation.
Ah well, perhaps burning it all down and starting afresh will be for the best.
