So I'm sure most of you have seen the "
Teens React to MLP" video, but I want to offer a different, and perhaps more genuine opinion of kids. Well, it's a different sample, so to say it's more genuine is subjective, actually.
Kids and teens review of the showAverage rating based on 33 kid and teen reviews:
85% say there are positive messages
73% say there are positive role models
70% say it's educational
The adults have a slightly different view.
Adult's ReviewsAverage rating based on 33 parent and educator reviews:
85% say there are positive messages
82% say there are positive role models
55% say it's educational
Of course, this post wouldn't be complete without
the site's review.
I'm not sure on the age of the review, but I know it's been around a while. I think that one point of interest is how there's a noticeable difference in the number of teens/kids that think the show is education relative to parents/educators. Now I'll admit that each sample size is pretty small at 33, but I do wonder if what kids and teens consider educational (particularly our ponies' vocabulary) and what parents and educators consider education is slightly or significantly different. Hell, a wider sample would be needed, but I think the suggestion is quite possibly there from the current data.
Also note that more adults think that the ponies are positive role models, compared to the minors.
