Metal band cancels show due to violent threats

Portland-based stoner-pop band Black Pussy found themselves coming under fire last week when a petition began circulating on social media calling for the band to change their name or face a boycott of all the venues that book the band.

Now it seems as if the activists have achieved some modicum of success: the band’s upcoming show in Raleigh, NC is going to be cancelled because of serious threats of violence and vandalism to the venue and its staff.

I wonder if these idiots would also complain about the name "Pussy Riot".

It's not even a large petition or movement, it's gotten only a few thousand signature so far*.
I'm also worried that this is going to cause some people to start doxxing and harrasingthe the petition creator or something.

Whoever made that petition needs to get the shit smacked out of 'em.  These are the same kinds of people that'd arbitrarily ban bands like Pussy Riot or Anal Cunt simply because their names are "offensive."  Actually, you know what?  Fuck this.  Ice-T, school these motherfuckers.
