I take it you're aware that the obvious corruption for this is NASA actually finds the object that will impact with the Earth, ending all life as we know it, so there's no need to come into work. I hope your party was worth it.

I wish the FOX newsbar was forced to run a constant disclaimer that their entire content was malicious, inane, immature and misleading fictions.

Granted. It's so fucking pleasant that everyone stops what they're doing just too look outside. Everyone driving a car crashes, and many die. Also, many go blind from looking at the sun. Nuclear plants explode too, because no one is paying attention.
