Is anyone else having trouble getting on the IRC?

I'm on a different Wifi network than usual, but everything seems to go really fast - except for the IRC. It doesn't load at all and eventually the connection times out.

I had the exact same problem, right down to the "different Wifi network".

More details, please. That's not helpful, at all.

Okay then. I click on the IRC, and it pulls up in a different tag. Except it just says "connecting" for the longest time. (The URL in the tag at this point is "about:blank"), and then it comes up with this message:

The connection has timed out

The server at chat.shatteredtears.com is taking too long to respond.
       
       

  The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
  If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
  If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
