I move out of that area of Kansas and now fun things happen? Goddamn it.

Somehow I think I know why their furniture store failed. You disrespect your customers that much, they're generally not going to want to shop at your store.

Of course, the fact that an IKEA (AKA, one of the most LGBT-friendly companies operating in the US) opened about 45 minutes away from that store sure as hell doesn't help.

Also, I did some research and found out that Ukiyo-e influenced Vincent van Gogh.

And I think it's worth noting that while Europe was producing this:

China was producing this:

That second picture really needs a caption like "Like a Boss".
History is full of maniacs, my friend, men and women of intelect, highly perceptive individuals, who's brilliant minds know neither restraint nor taboo. Such notions are the devils we must slay for the edification of pony-kind. Even if said edification means violating the rules of decency, society, and rightousness itself.

Considering that's Tai-Tsung, founder of the Tang and magnificent bastard, I'd agree.
Excuse me, sir, do you have a minute to talk about your lord and savior, Hannibal Barca?

Yeah, if the pagans are so smart, why did Jesus invade Pagan-land on the back of a dragon and kill them all!

Well from a few quick google searches I managed to find these pieces of Japanese  art.

1784 I found this
(click to show/hide)
1790(by the way it was super hard finding non porn art from this period.)
(click to show/hide)
1796
(click to show/hide)
1787
(click to show/hide)
1788
(click to show/hide)
and lastly 1794
(click to show/hide)

So this thin's point is moot (also it apparently comes up in the image results when you do a google search for Japanese art from 1794.)

I tried commenting but that "timed-out" glitch kept preventing me.

So here I go, again.....

I love the first link. I never thought that 18th century art would make me die from cuteness.

But there is....PUPPEEEEZZZ! *snorgles*

Sigh. I could get the photos of several other presidents (Reagan, Clinton, both Bushes) also being under an umbrella held by a marine, but I'm sure the knuckle-draggers would yell at me for using photoshop and call me a "lib" or an "obot" or something.

I actually got a little chuckle out of the picture of Obama with the umbrella. Not a partisan chuckle, just a small chuckle.

But it's not an honor detail if you have to do it for someone beneath your station.
