I HAVE A MASSIVE FUCKING BONER, RIGHT NOW.  Found out today that Vampire Hunter D is getting an animated series (as an hour-long dealie) and its currently in production, directed by the guy that directed Bloodlust.  Fucking YES.

I just got a new job!

There's a small company on the east side of the Los Angeles area that surveys and monitors construction projects for fossils and excavates them so work can continue, then does the lab work on them afterward for whatever museum or university they end up in. As they were a small company, they needed people who were experienced in many different sub-aspects of paleontology, and when I applied unsuccessfully for an earlier opening with them they were impressed enough that they wanted to fit me in somewhere later on. So 'm in with them, but they're still figuring out when they want me to start. They will be contacting me later this week to let me know, but it'll probably be before the summer starts.

I'm going to talk with my girlfriend in the next few days about moving there together. She's wanted to leave Arizona for somewhere more accepting for quite a while, and it will definitely be easier for her to transition in California, so I'm hopeful everything will work out for the better.

My chemistry teacher, next week, is either going to hate me or laugh for the safety info for this final lab.  Why?  Well, we're burning peanuts for calorimetry, pretty cut-and-dried stuff.  So, I decided to have a little fun with the safety info for fire:

* Fire is hot & can cause severe damage if contacted for too long.  In case of skin contact, flush w/ COLD water.  In case of eye contact, freak out because your eyes are on fire.  If lab goes up in flames, exit in an orderly fashion.  In case of accidental daemonic summoning, please consult page 616 of the Necronomicon.
