The internet at this house is slow as a church lady on the high way, but I remember seeing a chart of welfare recipients in red states vs blue states. And that, overwhelmingly, the states who RECEIVED more in welfare benefits than it paid out, and usually significantly more, were the reddest of the red states; whereas the ones that paid out much, much more than it received in assistance were almost exclusively the bluest Democrat states.

Anyone remember that? I can't find it here but I'll look if I manage to get home tomorrow.

Wait.  They're asking "What if a fictional character had an abortion?"  Damn, and here I thought reality and fantasy were two different things!

On that note, what if Voldemort's mom had aborted him, and what's the point of this line of reasoning?
My friend's blog.  Check it out!

Is it wrong that I now want to troll a anti-choice gathering, with a sign that reads: "What if Palpatine's mother had an abortion??"

How about "What if Constantine I had been aborted?"

What if Mary had an abortion? Who would start Christianity?

See? I can make hypotheticals about fictional characters too.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Corinthians 13: 4-7

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia used," What if Jesus was aborted?" in an episode.

Just because something has the potential to do something great, doesn't mean that anyone who doesn't try to fulfill that potential for that person is stealing something from them. Like if threw a few million dollars at someone, there's a chance that they might go to MIT and cure cancer or some shit. If I refuse to throw the millions of dollars at that stranger, does that mean I stole that money from them and ruined the chance of curing cancer? If a woman refuses to care for a fetus does that mean she's stealing the cure of cancer from the world simply because that fetus had a slight chance of growing up and curing cancer?
It's putting the fetuses life over the woman's.

Please be satire.
I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.

Please be satire.

The sticker/button on her jacket says "I'm worth waiting for". Which sounds like an abstinence slogan. Which would make this sign less likely to be satirical.
