I don't really have a problem with "Chiefs" or "Warriors" or "Braves," to be honest. That's not too different from calling one's team the "Spartans" or "ninjas" or evoking some other warrior culture.

"Indians" and "Redskins" though really are offensive, especially the latter.

They are fine with it. A lot of people have suggested the Redskins make a similar deal with a local tribe. Maybe the Washington Potomacs?
