Here's what makes me scratch my head...
According to certain very vocal conservative Christian leadership active in the GOP, God sent Katrina to New Orleans as punishment for the "wicked ways" of the French Quarter, and God sent a tornado to Dover, Pennsylvania as punishment for daring to prohibit the teaching of Creationism in their public schools, but apparently hurricanes hitting the USA on the day of the Republican National Convention twice in a row is just a coincidence. Shouldn't this, by their own logic, be interpreted as God's displeasure with the party, especially since the second time around He scored a direct hit on the actual Republican Convention?
Just another example of evangelical doublethink. When it happens to "sinners" it's a judgment, when it happens to them it's random.
