At risk of sounding like a corporate shill, that sale on GOG.com is fucking insane. It's basically 50% the entire catalog along with 80%-90% off for the daily deals. I must say, it makes the Steam sales (especially the recent ones) seem rather insignificant in comparison.

Yeah, but the Steam sales also apply to games released after 2001.
Still can't think of a signature a year later.

Funnily enough, they release more indies than old games nowadays.

Huh, so manhattan project is 3 bucks and I wouldn't have to try to track down the disk again? That may well be sold.

Seriously though, this GOG sale IS fucking insane. With games like this on sale and more, they gonna be making some serious bank.

Don't forget to grab Torchlight if you haven't already. It's free on GOG for only a little bit. I love Torchlight so much.

I found a copy of Tony Hawk's Underground for the Xbox a while back. My god is that game fun. I tell you, nobody makes skateboarding games like Neversoft.

I'm not a Tony Hawk fan or a skating fan by any means, but that game was super fun, surprisingly.
Guys, this is getting creepy. Can we talk about cannibalism instead?

Yeah, Underground is still the only one out of my collection that I still play (which consists of 1, 2x, 3 for the Gamecube, 4 for the PS1, and Underground for the PS2). It's really the only one that managed to get all the stuff right and temporarily made me want to get into skateboarding.

You're not the only one. There was a temporary skateboarding craze entirely off the back of the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater games back when they were new.

World of Tanks had some updates. After battle reports used to just say how many critical hits you've scored on each enemy, now it will also show them so you know how many crew members or tank components you took out. :) Concidering that some of my tanks are getting criticals with nearly every hit they score this is incredibly fun.

And when making a critical the game actually notifies of this, before the update you simply knew that when you make a penetrating hit that does no HP damage it was a critical.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

Master of Orion 1+2 for 3$? I shouldn't have been listenting to the soundtrack of MOO2 on Youtube, it got me crawing for the old classic and now I just had to buy it.

I suddenly have the urge to play Age of Wonders again. I'm not usually a strategy fan, but it's an utterly fantastic game.

Playing through The Last Of Us. Having a lot of fun, but goddamn this game is longer and harder than a porn star. Even on normal I end up dying half a dozen times or more in some encounters, and I've probably sunk more hours into it than Black Ops II and I'm not even halfway through.

The multiplayer is really difficult as well, but it's also a very different experience from traditional shooters and takes a lot more thought and cunning to succeed. Also, you not only have a metagame clan that you need to maintain throughout the multiplayer "story", but you can choose to have it be populated by your Facebook friends. And it gives you regular updates on what various clan members are doing, and sometimes requires you to make choices regarding them. This amuses me greatly.
