Hehehe, we're looking at this article in my classes this semester as part of a specially themed research course on generational differences. We're focusing on the millennial generation and we're using a book called Generation Me by Jean Twenge. It's great reading! Helicopter parents aren't the norm for the millennials, but the ones who do show up, whoowhee! They come into the office occasionally to complain about their child's grade or to try to somehow jockey for better position for their child in some way. ANNOYING. They rarely get what they want, because contrary to what they might think, they don't know as much as they think they do about the way things work. They do a huge disservice to their kids. They aren't allowing them any personal responsibility moments, and that makes it that much harder for them to deal with reality. Pet peeve, sorry, lol.
