FSTDT D&D Campaign
« on: August 04, 2012, 08:46:26 pm »
There's been some talk about it in the Funny & Stupid Pictures thread, so there's definitely some interest, and someone interested in DMing already.

Obviously, there's going to have to be a lot of details worked out (What system we'll run, what programs we use, and most importantly, what time and how often we have sessions) but that's what this thread is for :D

So, how about it?  Anyone interested in joining?  I assume we'll be using Skype for the voice chat, so I'll just go ahead and drop my skype username: Zachski

MapTools seems like the best option for table-top gaming, but if anyone knows of a better or alternative one, feel free to suggest it :D

Count me in... I've not played D&D proper, well... ever.  The best experience I have with the style of system was the original Neverwinter Nights.  However, I'm not free until Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
There is light and darkness in the world, to be sure.  However, there's no harm to be had in walking in the shade or shadows.

Only D&D version I'm at all familiar with is 3.5.  I may be interested, depending on how my schedule plays out in the next day or two.

I'm currently using a system that's mostly Pathfinder with some holdovers from 3.5 and a few house rules.

Also, I have a ready-made campaign that I designed myself, ran to completion once, and am now testing out on some newer players. I could run it here if you're interested.

As the original suggester, I am down. I vote we use 3.5 instead of 4. Anyone who's never played before, I have pdfs of the rulebooks that I can e-mail you if you PM me.

If we can get a time and/or place (IM or forum posts) to play and an edition, I'd be all too happy to give it a whirl.

If you're looking to me to DM, I cannot work with 4th Edition. So it's going to have to be 3.5/Pathfinder.

Also, this assumes I'm not completely swamped by schoolwork starting three weeks from now.

I'm fine with either.  My experience is mostly DDO and Pathfinder, though, so it'll be a new experience for me if we go 3.5

I'm also fine with not doing 4E

Personally, my vote goes to Pathfinder due to the base classes it introduces.  I've been interested in rolling up a Magus but didn't have a chance to before my old group imploded.  That being said, I wouldn't object to 3.5, especially if you let me use a splat class.

This is the kind of thing I'd love to do, but my experience with D&D was with the 2nd edition when I was just a youngling.

I'd be interested if we're going Pathfinder.  Offers a lot more flexibility then 3.5 and doesn't cripple you at the early levels.
