I do not like you Linux Community
I do not like your sexually dangerous abuses
I do not like your socially dysfunctional excuses
I do not like how your members attack women with impunity
I do not like how your administrators grant those members immunity
I do not like your insanity
For you are an embarrassment to humanity
In tech you demonize the male gender
For this a judgment I shall render
Call me Thunder Brown
For I shall hunt you down
I was originally discouraged from writing this book. To “deal with freaks”, to waste my time on persons “ugly on the outside as they are on the inside”, to “focus on the negative” was a waste of my time. An obsession, a consuming hatred when I should be focused on more important matters. Those assessments are accurate and time is consumed by my efforts. In my defense, the Linux Community has earned my hatred and yours too. The history of sexual abuses by members of the Linux Community and acceptance of such acts is not a secret. It was made publically available and archived. To be silent when harm is caused is to allow it.
The harm caused by members of the Linux Community can identified by two aspects, action and inaction. A quick summation is thus: who did what and why, who did nothing to prevent and why. Sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual misconduct and sexual harassment are the actions in focus. Harm both physical and psychological in nature, both immediate and lasting. Such actions and the people who commit them do not occur in vacuum. They are willingly immersed in a culture that seeks to exclude, exploit and ultimately hate their favorite target. Women of all races, ethnicities or sexualities.
It is imperative that faces, names and occupations are matched with expressed sentiment. This is a matter of human beings who inherently have the ability to know and do better but chose not to. The people exposed in this book are from various walks of life. Despite the variance in age, profession, ethnicity and race one identifying aspect remains consistent throughout. Gender, the Linux Community is an embarrassment to the male gender because it reinforces the false notion that men are predictably, sexually dangerous. When a single gender dominates a field for an extended period of time it represents it through association. Thus the Linux Community is additionally an embarrassment to the field of computer science. Any scientific field requires willing, capable minds in order to exist and progress. Women are human beings, as human beings they inherently have the capability to think. To exclude them, to allow their exclusion, is self-destructive.
