I'm not sure how the hypocrisy would apply to Occupy Wall Street, since they aren't anti-capitalist. They just want better pay and conditions for the lower and middle class as well as more accountability for the rich. Keep the overall economy as it is, just even out the wealth a tad.

The thing is, I'm not sure that this reasoning flies. For one, it's perfectly legit to criticise, even harshly criticise, the society you live in, hence freedom of speech and democracy. Secondly, plenty of these anti-left-wing finger-traps exist anyhow, like how a rich person who criticises capitalism is a champagne socialist, and a poor person who does likewise is engaging in the politics of envy. At some point, you have to say 'fuck it' and focus more on being right than being self-consistent.
