However, despite their constant politicizing of the event, republicans in Ohio still think Mitt Romney had something to do about it? How? It makes no sense. Mitt Romney couldn't possibly have had anything to do with it, Hell I think he was busy spending an obscene amount of money to win the republican primaries at the time so he really couldn't have done anything thing. How does this kind of stupid and misinformation happen?

The problem is that many Republicans are incapable of accepting moral complexity. Reality is split into two categories: good and bad. Obama is bad. Therefore, everything Obama does is bad. Therefore, anything good is not done by Obama. The President is ultimately responsible for military deployments, allocation of intelligence resources and so on. Mitt Romney is good, and running for president. Therefore, Mitt Romney is responsible for the death of Bin Laden (or George Bush).

Just a correction:

The article says 15% of Republicans in Ohio think that Romney is responsible for taking down bin Laden.  Not 15% of everyone in Ohio.
