Welcome, Lady Hylia. Don't mind him, he's the insane mofo. Insane in the membrane.
Guys, this is getting creepy. Can we talk about cannibalism instead?

What does it tell you that I only saw Sleepy's post, and immediately thought, "There's a new member named Lady Hylia, and ironbite has already 'greeted' her"?

So, hey. I first found FSTDT a few years back, and it was crazy-scary how much some of these quotes sounded like my fundie father in law. I wound up becoming a lurker for sheer rubbernecking value.

I'm bi, married, a parent, agnostic since the crash & burn of my belief system, and forever a nerd. I'm also a huge Mass effect geek. Seriously, it's probably not healthy. Just ask my Garrus figurine who speaks to me telepathically in Brandon Keener's voice when I'm having a bad day*, or the ME-themed shirts hanging in my closet....though it's nice in a way, because when I'm feeling nervous or insecure, I can pull on my big-girl N7 unders and ask myself, "What would Commander Shepard do?" The answer is usually some variation of "Kick some ass!" To which I usually say "(meep!) okay...."

I am also enthused to see the Shepard in the flesh (sorta) right here on the boards! lolz.

Anyway, I also have ADD and severe social awkwardness. The Internet is a fairly good medium for me because I can sit and write things out and revise (if I don't get in too much of an excited hurry) instead of running at the mouth in a nervous frenzy. I'm also pleased at the general atmosphere of this place, if I do say so myself, and I think I'm planning on settling in. :)

*this does not actually happen except within my imagination. I'm in my late 20's but part of me will always be a silly child.

Many greetings "fellow female!"  ;D The world can never have enough wimminz!

*Ahem* Funnily enough, married yes, but also polyamorous. Lolz.  ;)

I also forgot to mention that I live smack-dab in the butt end of a desolate, rural Red State, so this place is also nice for people who share so many of my views. Which is something woefully rare out here in these thar parts.

Hey everybody. This is my first forum post, but I've been posting comments in the main page every once in a while.

Oh, and I am not Ironbite. The similarity of our nicks is purely coincidental.

I live in New Mexico. I've been an atheist for about seven years (I was originally brought up as a Jehovah's Witness and it's been a slow de-fundie-ing from there). I believe the universe and everything in it can exist just fine on its own and it doesn't need a superior "creator". Politically I lean toward pinko-commie. I enjoy reading sci-fi and fantasy, and writing simple programs in my spare time.
Consumption is not a politically combative act — refraining from consumption even less so.

Hey, careful with the bullets there. Not everybody has iron abs like we do.
