They probably consider, "Ban all guns" to mean "ban all military-grade weapons," which is really how far most of the bans go.  Honestly, if you need an AK 47 or M 9 to defend your home, the government is the least of your problems.

In my opinion if aren't safe in their own homes unless they are armed then something is already horribly wrong and the guns are just a symptom. I am certainly not against honest, sane people owning guns (no matter what kind or how many) but just the fact that so many "pro-gun" people start by asserting that everyone in the community have their lives threatened by criminals and then simply claim that arming everyone is the solution just seems silly... You have to sleep sometimes and I myself would not put my family in such a danger if I truly believed it existed.

Well, in theory, being closeted could open a person up to threats of blackmail and pose a security problem. Not that this is what the person holding the sign most likely means though, nor is it any more of a security risk than any other kind of intentionally hidden sexual activity.

There was also that time in 2002 when then New Jersey governor Jim McGreevey, a deeply closeted homosexual, appointed his secret Israeli boyfriend as his homeland security adviser. Which was bad because the guy had no experience and couldn't get security clearance. It did lead to the awkwardly phrased admission "I am a gay American" when the scandal broke, so it has that going for it.
