The world's most high-profile political prisoner, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, former President of Brazil, has been freed from jail pending his appeals of his convictions for corruption and money laundering related to a property sale.

The Supreme Federal Court ruled that anyone convicted of a crime could not be imprisoned until all appeals had been exhausted.

Lula appears to me as the classic example of how 'corruption' purges are often used to attack your political enemies. Trump and Rudy were simply trying to take a leaf out of the Bolsonaro play book.

The movement has to keep up the pressure because he was wrongly detained for political reasons in order to ensure a fascist coup d'etat via the election.
