Well, they had the word "Socialist" in their full name "National Socialist Party" so they MUST have been socialists. In the same way the Democratic Republic of the Congo MUST be a Democratic Republic.

It would really depend on when the image was? If it was just before the bombing and the petrol station was far away...but there doesn't seem to be a time stamp on the photo so you could say either way.

The "at gunpoint" tends to be meant more figuratively than literally. What they're driving at is that the government will arrest you and throw your ass in jail for the crime of not giving them your money (how they look at it, at least). I'm personally not sure how I feel about throwing people in prison for tax evasion...on the one hand, they tend to be assholes about it and not paying your taxes is really not cool. On the other hand, I don't think locking Wesley Snipes up for two years in a medium security prison on top of ordering him to pay 17 million dollars really accomplished anything.

True, but I doubt he was rehabilitated by his years in prison nor do I think he was a danger to the community. Sending him to do time (and "Shakespeare Behind Bars" leads me to believe that medium security would put him around murderers and rapist, albeit well behaved ones) was purely punitive. Not the biggest fan of that concept within the law.

As long as you hit someone from behind, or while they are asleep, or blindfolded, it is not assault.

Assault is when someone is afraid of immediate touching. Battery is when they are actually touched. So if someone does not know they are about to be touched, it isn't assault. (It's still battery when you hit them, but no assault since they could not know about the impending touching.)
