I'm very sex-positive and not anti-porn but there are some elements of porn that irk me big time. I know some are Dom/sub fantasies and some folks enjoy & consent to being pummeled (or worse) but these types tend to use deception & they don't give a hoot about the actresses feelings, safety, limits or expectations. "Method Acting"? More like "Assault".

I think ultra-extreme/violent/cruel porno should be limited to Hentai/Cartoon/Comics. That way, nobody gets hurt.

I think adult entertainment (be it skin flicks, nudie mags, etc.) should be divided in two categories (as concrete industry terms), "Porno" & "Erotica" with Porno being the trashy, gooey, sleazy stuff (with questionable fantasy scenarios) while Erotica is more sexy, artsy, sensual, beautiful (with less-questionable or even romantic scenarios). Both can still be super-explicit with penetration shots or what not but the presentation, aesthetics, overall attitude & aura about it etc. will differ. "Erotica" will present sex scenes in a polished way like many super-sexy nudie love/sex scenes in R-Rated movies...only X-Rated & very explicit.

I also think the Adult Film industry should cater to both men & women (of all orientations), pay actors of all sexes equally & make it mandatory for frequent check-ups & STI-testing & more condom use. If someone wants to do a stupid "Max Hardcore"-type flick, they should seek out women who really are into that sort of masochism, be 100% honest with these women & to respect these ladies' limits & health.

The problem with porn is that most studios have a weird "Soup-Nazi" attitude in regards to female fans, despite the fact that casting a big net and catering to all tastes who mean bigger bucks. Sexism & gender roles are just plain bad business. I'm glad there's a growing amount of "For Women By Women" porn.

I hate to break it to you, but that's the joke Ironbite was getting at. They resolved their issue over a decade ago when the World Wrestling Federation changed their name to World Wrestling Entertainment.

If they consented (if there's a safe word, as there should be in BDSM, not using it is consenting), it's fine with me. As for enforced method acting, I remember reading about telling women he was going to do one thing then do something else even worse & that one lady had to go to the hospital.

I could have been just reading rumors but I don't know. That said, if everything on-screen was 100% consensual & pure acting then, yes, it's wrong that he was jailed a lot.

I guess the whole "violent porn" sub-genre, as repulsive as it seems, has a right to exist & may even be a positive outlet for a guy who came from a bad break up rather than him going out and raping everybody. Yeah, to me, BDSM is fine (well, I am in a BDSM-filled relationship, so duuuuuh). He was never, ever tried for rape, which means it's unlikely that he actually did anything wrong, which makes him going to jail horrible.
