Al Sharpton strikes me as an opportunistic jackal at times, don't get me wrong. But just because people weren't talking about racial issues prior to these shooting incidents doesn't mean they weren't there. It just means they weren't being talked about. I constantly hear my relatives and former classmates blaming President Obama for the racial overtones of the debates going on right now, as if his presence magically caused problems to appear out of nowhere.

People get very upset when it's pointed out that things like racial inequality exists.
To an extent this is true about gender inequality as well.

I actually halfway agree with strawman Obama, once the metaphor's decoded.  It'd keep a LOT of "mistake babies" from happening, and give people who want kids some breathing room to make sure that they actually want them right then, thus leading to better decision-making, at least on their part.
