Tru TV is infamous for being staged despite its name. I caught a bunch of one of their shows (it alternated between a repo agency and a guy who serves court orders to violent lunatics) when working on Game On, and when I got home I did some research. Turns out a ton of their shows are faked and they never have more than an easily-missed disclaimer at the end stating that they're "based on real events."
