Hypocrisy= comedy gold.
After seeing this I decided to look the game up and maybe try it. It's free to play so why not? Well, after searching steam all I found were two trailers, which when clicked on lead to a non-existent page. I then did a google search for it and found the wikipedia article for it. The game advertises itself as being the most realistic hunting game out there. After clicking on the "Payment" section of the wiki article it seems they decide to combine F2P and "realistic hunting" in the most ass way possible. Apparently you have to pay real money to have anything at all other than the starting gear, and have to pay for hunting licenses for anything other than mule deer and rabbits. And these apparently aren't one time payments either. You have to pay over and over for it.
This is why I don't like F2P games. Anytime the fee I have to pay is recurring it pisses me off. I feel like if I played these games the fees would easily be much more than buying a brand new Xbox or Playstation game, and I refuse to do that.
Charging money for new content in the form of DLC I'm all for. A single recurring subscription for games like WoW I'd be fine with since they frequently get new content and I know the servers and such are probably expensive to run. Having to pay recurring fees to "rent" a piece of gear in a game just seems like bullshit to me, especially when the timer of how long you have it keeps ticking whether or not you're even playing.
