Earthquake scientists have been concerned for years about Kathmandu - highly seismic area, densely populated, poor construction.  I'm not exactly surprised, but I'm definitely sad about the devastation.

I've seen posts where people are more upset over the loss of historical buildings then the 1000 or so dead that will rise as people succumb to their injuries.

Ironbite-just sad all around.

And why can't we be saddened by both? I'm devastated by the loss of so many people, and I'm also saddened by the loss of irreplaceable cultural sites.
Excuse me, sir, do you have a minute to talk about your lord and savior, Hannibal Barca?

Yeah, if the pagans are so smart, why did Jesus invade Pagan-land on the back of a dragon and kill them all!
