Title: Encountering Religion on Omegle
Post by: hiddenfunstuff on May 07, 2012, 08:48:16 pm
Hi. You probably don't know me, considering I only ever posed a few times on the old board, but I'm back.

Slightly.

Anyway, I'd like to share a chatlog from me just messing about on omegle. Why? Why not is why. Basicly, do you have any thoughts or anything about this? I'm kind of paranoid that I might not have handled it as well as I could.

Oh, and feel free to add in your own logs or anything. Might as well put them here.

Fuck you and your cult for devaluing human existance to being the mere, unworthy playtoys of some cosmic jackass.

I'm surprised he didn't flip out at you when you said this...

Yeah, you weren't getting anywhere with that guy fast. He was impervious to logic. :P

Yeah, I did too. Kinda lost my temper there.

Try Omegle Video. Let's just say you'll certainly get less religion.

Tried it once. Stuck with it for about 15 minues before going back to question mode. Let's just say I wasn't impressed by their rhetoric.

Note the similarities between the Muslim's argument and the typical Christian apologetics.  The fact that these people cannot see that they are essentially using the same reasoning to apply to different religions and come to different conclusions should set off alarm bells.

It should, but strangely, it never does.

I feel so much better that I'm not the only one who sees that.

I don't know who you are but this annoys me.

Is it me who annoys you, or that you did not know me that is the problem?

By 'this', he's probably referring to the conversation in the OP.

Yeah, I noticed it too - actually, at first, I thought it WAS a Christian Fundie who was paranoid about the growing number of Muslims. ("They're EVERYWHERE! And there's more of them EVERY DAY! D:")

Yeah, I thought as much too. They really don't seem to get how similar they both are. Though, I'm not sure if that's such a bad thing...

Yeah, yeah. Standard stuff. God can do whatever he likes because he's God, he works in mysterious ways, just do what he says even if it seems wrong or doesn't make sense because otherwise you'll go to Hell.

There are regular people, people who don't claim to be perfect or infinitely good, that are more moral than that

For a Muslim fundie he seemed rather chill.
