Rest well, sandman's dad.

My condolences to you, Sandman.
That said, I've stopped trying to anticipate what people around here want a while ago, I've found it makes things smoother.

My condolences.  Your dad sounds like he was a great guy to know.

You and yours have my condolences, Sandman.  Sounds like he was one hell of a guy, and he's got one hell of a son.

Condolences for your loss, Sandman. Your father was an awesome man!

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Corinthians 13: 4-7

Upon consideration of this... I dunno... I don't really feel that much sorrow if a person lived to be 97 and was as kickass from cradle to grave like Sandman's dad seems to have been.  I think I'd party.  Like... an Irish wake for a Scot.

Scottish wakes make Irish wakes look like the bars in Salt Lake City at 1 PM on a Sunday. To imagine a Scottish wake, picture an Irish one, then remove all of the civility, sobriety, accountability, and propriety.

And no, I do not mourn Dad's passing. He was nearly blind and deaf and was more than ready to go. He told me last year that if Jesus didn't get off his arse and show up damn soon he was going to "have words" with him at the Pearly Gates. And if you have never had a 90+ year old Scotsman "have words" with you, consider yourself very, very lucky.

us disassemble you. We're not banging rocks together here. We know how to put a man back together. So that's a complete reassembly. New vitals. Spit-shine on the old ones. Plus we're scooping out tumors. Frankly, you oughtta be paying us." -Cave Johnson

Well, the thing is that I’ve never even met a 90+ year old Scotsman.

Sounds like he was a genuinely awesome individual and lived quite a bit before his time was up.

My 90+ year old Scotsman died before I was born. :(

Tho, try having my 48+ year old Scotsman "have words" with you, too. D:
