The demo to Smash Bros 3ds is out and it's pretty fun.  This is the first SB game I've played since the N64 version and I'm enjoying it, even though it only has 1 stage and 5 characters.  Also, Link is a monster and people have found ways for Megaman to destroy opponents in seconds.

Unfortunately, unless he's a hidden character, no Jigglypuff this time around.  Bummer, I miss beating that poke to a pulp.

Megamans final smash* proves that Nintendo care more about Megaman than Capcom. Which is kinda sad, really.

Even if I didn't know the final roster, I'd still tell you that it's unlikely that Jigglypuff was gone. I doubt they're ever going to drop any of the original 12.

Well, hopefully he's a hidden character then.

Had a go at lichdom battlemage. Didnt like it. It feels too strange to go all call of duty with magic.

Stronghold crusader 2. I would have loved it if it didnt look so goddamn cartoony

Hexen's actually pretty cool for it's time. Sure, it doesn't have the sick Necromancer's Gauntlets...but it's still awesome.

There's a mod that adds a couple of classes to the game.  One of them being the Necromancer, an improved version of the one from Hexen 2.

Guess what item he gets?

I love the HeXen games, they're metal as fuck. I especially love the second one. It's a shame that it's the kind of FPS that wouldn't get a new game in this current gaming industry, short of a kickstarter campaign.

Today, a wonderful thing occurred. I managed to dig up my childhood PC game collection. Quite a few gems from the early 2000's in there. So far, I've installed Impossible Creatures and Zoo Tycoon (plus expansions, naturally) and I've been having a blast with them. Well, the former was a rather jarring reminder of just how awkward the camera controls in old RTS games could be, but good times are being had nonetheless.
