I just saw this movie, and I must say it was amazing. The story even though it deviated from the original source (a lot) was well written and is great in it's own right. The visual effects were stunning, and while I'd like to see Disney make a 2D film, I can't really see that for Frozen.
I didn't have high hopes for Olaf (the Snowman) but he ended up being funny at the right times and likable (although he mentioned his butt one too many times).
There are some things that I wish were in the film, like how Elsa got her ice powers and who exactly were the stone trolls. Plus, there's one major plot point I would have rather seen changed.
The change is when Hans is revealed to be a giant sack of shit, and pretty much a villain. There's no kind of foreshadowing to this, so even though I thought it was possible for him to be a villain, and wasn't surprised when it happened. However, he has been portrayed as just short of heroic, such as when he opened soup kitchens for the populace, and what bugged me the most, saving Elsa.
Han's hunger for the throne made him trying to save Elsa kind of weird. He implied that he was going to execute her anyways and could have just let the guard kill her. If he didn't want to spill blood, then trying to speed up Anna's death.
I just think they should have made him more human. Even though he was only using Anna for political gain, I'd prefer that he actually feel sad that Anna will die, and there's nothing he could do about it, even though she thought he could. Maybe say something like "I didn't ask for this to happen, I just wanted a kingdom".
If he thought she died or was going to die soon, it would make sense for him to want to kill Elsa since she has proven to be a danger to everyone around her, and with Anna dying, there's little chance she would have been able to undo what she caused.
