It doesn't end with video games. Seems he's also campaigning for stronger gun laws to the point that even the Brady Campaign named him to the Gun Violence Prevention Honor Roll.

Turns out one of the (many) charges is the gunrunning of machineguns and rocketlaunchers.

So, he was basically what passed for Ammu-Nation in GTA IV.  (One of the many disappointments of that game.)  (Unless my memory is faulty, its been forever since I played IV...GTA V is just so much better.)

No, you were right. According to the in-game background, the mayor of the city was cracking down on gun violence by trying to totally eliminate civilian firearm sales, which just resulted in a bunch of underground gun shops cropping up.

Aah, yes.  Still, Ammu-Nation was one of those fundamental things since, like...GTA III.  But, this isn't a thread about how GTA IV irritates the fuck outta me, alas...
