Ey, you ain't the only one.  I'm fond of pretty much all the new companions, except Rose.  Well, after a while...when whoever wrote at the time decided it'd be nifty if her character development stopped dead and turned into a borderline-Canon Sue.

"Borderline?"

My main problem with Rose was that she wasn't really a character in her own right, just a person for the Doctor to play off of.  I loved the Doctor/Rose interactions and enjoyed how happy he was when she was around, but while the Doctor is a strong character on his own, Rose isn't.  Her only defining aspect by the end of her run was that she was desperate for the Doctor to not have to be alone.  Whereas Donna managed to get a whole episode to herself that was still made of awesome.  So, I like Rose in the context that I like Happy!Ten more than Emo!Ten, but as an independent character I like Donna better.

And whoever the next companion is, I just hope Eleven manages to interact with her as an equal rather than the condescending attitude he had towards Amy and Rory and... pretty much everyone else he ever interacted with.

He does come off a bit like six in that regard.  Though, at least he makes it funny...from what I've seen, six was more just plain haughty.

They're not in fitting with the whole younger actor thing, but they're both awesome.  Also, British (okay, Ferguson is Scottish).

And thus, also British. As is anyone residing on the island of Great Britain.

But yeah. I'd prefer it if they went a bit outside the 'young attractive female' archetype for a companion. How about an old person?

Aye.  Donna was both young and attractive, but not Amy Pond young.  Though, I do have a preference for younger ladies...
