Yeah, that's what I was getting at. Steroids do have legitimate benefits (otherwise they wouldn't need to be banned in sports), but these injections are basically like filling a balloon with oil. It makes your muscles superficially larger, but that's it. According to Wikipedia, risks include "pulmonary embolisms, nerve damage, infections, stroke, and the formation of oil-filled granulomas, cysts or ulcers in the muscle." Some people even fill their muscles with sesame oil and suffer allergic reactions.
