There's a difference between outright ignoring someone's race and not using it as a basis upon which to judge them.
Not using someone's race to judge them is actually what is called "decent".
For most people, colorblindness is the idea that ignoring or overlooking racial and ethnic differences promotes racial harmony. Which it obviously doesn't. It obviously benefits white people, who never have to question whether or not their race is being held in question when they apply for a job. It benefits them not to question that because it makes it look like they got here on their own.
