GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands (AP) — Organizers of an investment conference in the Cayman Islands say they have been forbidden from disclosing any details about a speech by former President George W. Bush in the offshore financial haven, an event spokesman said Thursday.

Sponsors of the two-day conference include KPMG, a company that provides tax advisory services, and Deutsche Bank. It costs $4,000 to attend and other speakers include billionaire Richard Branson.

While Bill Clinton is out campaigning for his party, this is what Shrubya decides to do.

With any luck, someone will surreptitiously film the speech and upload it to some video site, like what happened with the speech Romney gave at that fundraiser.

This is really not all that surprising really, the republican part is trying to stay as far away from bush as they possibly can because even other republicans see him for the screw up that he is. It was probably one of the reasons why no one from his administration was invited to the republican national convention.

Further, as the Cayman islands are not under the umbrella of the US media laws, they can blackout and ban anything they want. if they are making a fortune helping insanely rich Americans avoid taxes it makes sense to keep them as happy as possible. If that means gagging their own and international media then they will do it.
