It doesn't concern you, Sister, that kind of absolutist view of the universe? Right and wrong determined solely by a single all-knowing, all powerful being whose judgment cannot be questioned and in whose name the most horrendous acts can be sanctioned without appeal?

Being required by someone else’s religious beliefs to behave contrary to one’s sexual identity is degrading and disrespectful.

Oh, so when it's about a Christian, it's real, but when it's about an atheist, it's fake.  Double standard, much?

Some of the stories involving Christians are fake, too.

The problem is that the atheist in this story isn't talking like a real human being.  No one actually talks like that.  He's talking like how "Poor Oppressed Christians" think atheists talk like.  That's why I say it's fake.

Ah.  I guess that makes sense.

Also, someone living in the US who refuses to eat or drink anything touched by a Christian would die fairly quickly. By selection effects alone you wouldn't expect people to run into them.

Sadly, I could see that happening.

People like that old lady are absolutely disgusting.

If I was on the scene, well, you'd have to hold me back from completely ruining her.

Having actually HAD laser eye surgery myself (and it was probably the most 'pleasant' surgery I've ever had.  One vicodin, one valium, I didn't feel SHIT and I was in and out in less than an hour with my own sunglasses and eye drops), I can totally fucking believe this.  My co-workers at my mill job were giving me shit until my boss threatened to fire them if they didn't knock it the fuck off.  The one guy that did grab for my glasses got a right cross that said boss handily didn't see me throw.
There is light and darkness in the world, to be sure.  However, there's no harm to be had in walking in the shade or shadows.

Just the fact that she's more concerned with some superficial appearance bullshit than the actual health of someone shows that she's a vile cunt.  She's probably one of those prissy old bitches who thinks that our current generation is screwed.

That sounds like something someone from Shin Megami Tensei's Law Faction would say.
