My first ever lens for my first ever D-SLR arrived about an hour ago, and ohmfg it is the sex! I'm almost hard and I haven't even used the thing yet. It's a "super zoom" so i know the image quality won't be the best in the world (I'm starting with a super zoom as most of my photography is done on holidays with other people who aren't photographers, so I need the convienence of being able to both travel light and not have to constantly dick around swapping lenses slowing everyone else down and generally pissing everyone off) but it just looks and feels sooooo much nicer and and more expensive than anything I've used before. I can't wait until I've saved up enough again to start buying better lenses...almost literally, I'm itching to buy another lens even though I can't afford it yet. Turns out I really fucking love lenses.
When my camera's battery is charged and I get to try both it and the lens out I might actualy explode.
