He doesn't need the 800 billion if he can get an SA / SS-like organization.

...And if you kill them all you can steal their possessions, gold teeth and even make clothes out of their hair! PROFIT!

Should Trump actually get elected (which I very strongly doubt, seeing as he does this every election cycle but never goes tries to go beyond the primaries), he won't be another Hitler or Mussolini, but rather just a typical Republican plutocrat. Focus on foreigners and immigrants in particular during his campaig in order to secure the usual redneck vote as well as to avoid talking about his economic policies, then once in power, handouts out the ass for big business (himself very much included) at the expense of everyone else. In other words, business as usual for the US government.

But yeah, it's never actually going to happen.

You guys aren't... seriously thinking Trump could pull a Hitler, could you? I mean, if you really think that, you need to take another look at the circumstances that actually brought Hitler into power. He wasn't elected, for one thing. For another, the circumstances that led him to power included a depression that made our "Great Recession" look like a walk in the park - hell, it even made the Great Depression in America look easy to deal with. But even more importantly than that, Trump just wouldn't survive in a two-party system. Keep in mind, even Hitler, an extremely charismatic speaker who had all the luck in the world on his shoulders, only won 37% of the vote. And I don't see Trump winning much more than that here, and in America, that's a losing percentage by a long shot.

What do you call popular approval for a "Muslim Registry?"

I think it would be awesome to see the Trump lose horribly in the final election to Bernie Sanders; making people choose between a socialist (I know he's not actually a publicly-own-all-the-things socialist, but people think he is) and a xenophobic racist (I'm pretty sure Mr. Trump actually is that) might actually start a movement to replace the two-party system.

Not a very large number, of course, but I think this is in direct reaction against Trump.

I don't think he could pull a Hitler, I think he could push American politics far right enough that we'll see openly facist politicians winning positions in congress and the whitehouse.

That's the real danger made worse by the fact that xenophobia and isolationism can also give the appearance of benefiting a country long enough to allow it to become entrenched and make it very difficult to remove.

In a way Trump getting elected would be like Ireland sinking into the sea.

Fun to watch from the outside and no you can't come and sleep on my couch.

Now make that fun drowning sound while I open another beer.

What do you have against Ireland? The Irish invented Jameson, which is surely enough justification for their continued survival.

He probably doesn't like being reminded of the fact that Irish Monks and Muslim Scholars preserved the inheritance of classical western thought, such as socrates, plato, aristotle, virgil etc while the rest of Europe descended into gangsterism and England was becoming a Danish then finally a Norman fief.

England wasn't a Danish anything.  The Danelaw existed before England was a united country.  It wasn't until Edward and then Aethelstan ran the vikings out of East Anglia and the north that you can really call England England.

Other than that, monarchs come and go and monarchies across europe are one big incestuous blob.  Our current mob are still basically descended from Sophia of Hanover, which basically makes them saxon again.  Thanks for playing :)

And none of this changes the fact that the irish can fuck off.  And before you call that racist, just remember they've invented an entire genre of music dedicated to their hatred of the english and no one says jack about that.
