In case you haven't heard of it, the LFTR is a new type of nuclear power using Thorium-232 instead of Uranium-238. IT also has molten NaF which is used as the salt.

It is expected to produce the energy of coal, oil, and uranium nuclear power plants at a small fraction of the material used. It also produces a whole lot less waste and is extremely efficient, with many safety features.

Apparently it has been worked on for decades but always scrapped.

I find this very interesting and feel like it is worth discussing and looking into.
I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.
