Went to bed early and missed a close friend's party cuz I could tell I was catching a cold. Woke up at 2AM feeling like my entire body was on fire, and couldn't get back to sleep until I filled the bath tub with hot water and got in. I've never been in so much pain before.

Assholes that think that having the gun ban lifted in Chicago, will somehow magically get rid of the gang violence that has been going on there. Now I don't support the ban, but the problem is more deeply rooted in the break down of community and when push comes to shove if any of these internet tough guys ever came face to face with a gangbanger, I'm sure they would probably go running and crying to their mothers.

Internet tough guys are always hilarious. Either way, gun bans fail so spectacularly at stopping crime because crime is rooted in problems much more complex and difficult to get rid of than "There are guns and people can buy them."

I've never had a flu vaccine in my life that I'm aware of. Of course, I've never had the flu until today, either. Fortunately, CVS was having a buy 1, get 1 free, on pretty much all their vitamins and medications, so I've been pummeling this sickness pretty much all day.

Having grown up with  a mother who's a Nurses' aide, I've been trained to get one every year.
That being said, we had some snow today, and the oil company never showed up to fill up the furnace, so we don't have any heat in the house right now.

What is with cats and being in the most inconvenient space they can find? I've lost count of the amount of times I've got up to take a late night piss, and in the darkness between my room and the bathroom, accidentally stepped on the damn cat. It's just as well that I don't wear cleats to bed...

I don't like it when people complain about "modern art". Basically people who think that any piece of art that isn't flowers, fruit, pretty clothed ladies with flowing hair, or puppies, it complete garbage and is some sign of a degrading society.
I went to an art camp thing for a month, and I remember one girl who would not stop whining about every artist we learned about... Basically anything that didn't look like a greek god sculpture was utter shit and didn't deserve the title of "art".

Even art that is "dumb" and "ugly" is often supposed to be that way. I mean, do people really think that Duchamp wanted "The Fountain"to be something you'd put in your living room? Or that Warhol was just lazy so he did prints instead of painting with oils?

So I was walking to class today, and some girl right by me has a bunch of badges and pins attached to a long dangling strap on her backpack. One of her friends calls her name, and she turns around to look for them. The strap swung up and hit right in the dick. She didn't even notice.
