Pod...what you're missing here is that the church doesn't think its an issue. While they are not allowing the children to come to the service, many pastors visit the homes of their congregations. Many of the flock likely think he is innocent. He should not, under any circumstances be allowed to continue this type of work.
This man needs therapy and given his atrocious history, he will repeat this transgression again. I really don't see how you are fine with him continuing his work. You carry a "it happened but he has to live" kind of mentality. While this is true, he needs to change professions. Other people have had to change their given profession due to a multitude of reasons not involving the sexual assault of children. There should be absolutely no chance for him to ever be a religious leader to ANYONE when he has multiple charges and is a rapist.
This isn't some grey area. This is common sense and human decency.
