Is there a serious science channel out there in the US?
« on: May 26, 2012, 07:27:52 pm »
I've recently (well, not too recently) noticed that *ALL* the science channels here in the stoopid ol' USofA have given themselves over to either conspiracy shows, end of the world shows or a combination of the two (like Ancient Aliens). I realise that there is money to be made in this sort of show, but even so I can't wait for there to be a genuinely skeptical TV show that attempts to explain how some of this stuff has happened - rather than leave it to supposition and innuendo...

What about the Science channel?  Through the Wormhole, How Do They Do That, How It's Made, Brave New World...good stuff!

I like The Universe.  Sometimes they show Carl Sagan's Cosmos.   Deep, trippy, beautiful stuff.

Nat Geo?
I'd be more sympathetic if people here didn't act like they knew what they were saying when they were saying something very much wrong.
