The artist of this cartoon stole Bill Watterson's artwork style. lol

Note how the shoveler looks like an adult Calvin.
Which is funny, cus his outlook on life is polar opposite of Calvin's.

How? Calvin may have been cynical and loved sarcasm but isn't that kids "rebellion" against the teacher and self thinking attitude something that he also had as a kid so seeing the kid do that would have probably made adult Calvin happy.
That's the kid, the adult in the strip is... ah, no one but me and OP reads the strip, do they?

You misunderstood me. I meant that what that kid did would probably make Calvin happy, and therefore the snowshoveler's reaction was not off from how I assume adult Calvin would react to that situation.
No matter what happens, no matter what my last words may end up being, I want everyone to claim that they were:
"If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine."
Aww, you guys rock. :)  I feel the love... and the pitchforks and torches.  Tingly!

I was referring to the shoveler though.
He's a total optimist who always trys to see the best in others.

Can you two nerds stop speaking in placeholders and tell us what this strip is called, so we ignorant people can look it up? Cause now I'm interested.
That said, I've stopped trying to anticipate what people around here want a while ago, I've found it makes things smoother.
For I was an hungred, and ye told me to pull myself up by my bootstraps: I was thirsty, and ye demanded payment for the privilege of thine urine: I was a stranger, and ye deported me: naked, and ye arrested me for indecency.

Frazz? Gotta check it out on GoComics.

Not only does the older kid with the shovel look like an older Calvin but the little kid looks like a black Calvin. So cute.

Took a gander at Frazz & even checked it out on TVTropes. Sounds like a really neat "Spiritual Successor" to Calvin & Hobbes. Very intelligent, unique, well-written & funny with lots of intellectual references.

Err, I semi-agree with the first statement, she's not being disrepectful per-see, but she seams to be doing that thing americans do where we treat every other culture like it's all mystic and bullshit.

So not racist, just stupid and annoying.

Agreed.  Still, the answer is not to scream "appropriation".
