He was arrested July 20 in Iowa’s Washington County. He remained in the county jail Saturday. He was booked into jail as Jeffrey D. Wilschke, which is the name on his driver’s license, even though he legally changed his name in 2011.

Online court records did not list a defense attorney Saturday.

Beezow was arrested for drug possession in Madison in 2012. That arrest brought national attention to his name, which became fodder for TV anchors and late-night talk show hosts.

With a name like that, I would think the last thing I want would be national attention.

Let alone local attention.

If I was going to change my name, it'd only be my given and middle names. If I was going to do something weird, it'd likely be something like "Badass Motherfucker" or "Kurt Trevelyan" or "Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting".

Guess he knew he would constantly be arrested because...because. So why not make the cops' and judges' jobs harder by forcing them to say his new name? "Say my name, biatch...say it!":)

If I were to change my name, my name would be Inigo Montoya.

Or, on a more serious note, I would drop my last name altogether and replace it with my middle name.

If I had to change my last name, it would be after we get hand-fasted, to a combination of our last names.

If I changed my name, I'd drop half my surname. Compound surnames are annoying (plus they sound pretentious).
