The GOP shows that they are party of job creation by name the oceans around the United Sates as the Ronald Reagan.

So there you have it, on top of all the anti-abortion bills and religious bills, this is yet another example of "job creating" by the GOP.  ::)

Bills like this make me wonder if politicians work under the same demands as news interns.  They've gotta submit something by Friday every Friday so they just pull stuff out of their ass and call it a story/bill.

Well, since it would be just our territorial waters within that ocean being renamed, they probably would. Doesn't make the idea less stupid. In fact, it makes it more stupid. It will be like that period where Prince renamed himself O(+> (roughly drawn out), where no one actually uses the name except in "official" circumstances where they absolutely have to. Except when Prince did it, it was a smart move designed primarily to get out from under Warner Bros. Records who barred him from using his legal name until their contract expired. This is just mindless pandering.
