You shouldn't have to literally walk around with a sign proclaiming you're not racist any more than you should have to walk around with a sign proclaiming you're a nice person, or smart, or anything else. People should be able to tell that by the way you act and speak. If you have to tell people, then you probably aren't what you say you are.

Indeed. I don't know if they are racist, but few things look more racist than insisting you're not because you're touching a black person.
